Berkshire Forest is a 600 acre community with a mixture of houses, condos, and townhomes, originally starting development around 2006 by Centex Homes. Pulte Homes now owns Centex, and this new division of Berkshire is in 3 sections called Amherst, Sutton Place, and Cambridge. At this time there are still a handful of completed homes in Cambridge and Amherst, with the newest construction being in Sutton Place, which has lots to choose as well as new homes.

It was originally designed around the Man O' War, Wizard, and Witch golf courses, and is situated with one entrance on Hwy 501 between Myrtle Beach and Conway, and the other entrance in Myrtle Beach right off Hwy 17 Bypass. It boasts the best schools in the state, and is one of the most popular areas in the Grand Strand to live.
